Sightseeing Tours

Sightseeing tours are an excellent way to get to know the area you are visiting. Most cities have hop-on, hop-off, open topped double-decker buses, usually following two or three different circular routes with multiple stops.

Coach sightseeing tours are more luxurious and are often escorted, frequently travelling to out of town attractions or touring the countryside.

Both bus and coach tours tend to have multi-lingual audio commentaries.

There are also ‘themed’ sightseeing tours with movie location trips being most popular, as are evening tours to see a city’s illuminated landmarks.

On water, riverboats like Batobus Paris or Thames Clippers operate as hop-on, hop-off transport and river sightseeing tours with lunch or dinner are a relaxing and often romantic way to see the sights. Even amphibious craft such as the London Duck Tours offer both land and water and, if you are feeling energetic, there’s always bike and walking tours.
